Apple CEO Tim Cook: OLED displays are "terrible"

Apple vs Samsung we felt it hundreds of times. On this blog and it's always interesting to see how responsive the former partner and "new" rival each other Apple CEO Tim Cook has now spoken at a conference organized by Goldman Sachs not only about the extremely high cash assets of Apple but also made known his opinion about OLED displays.
Actually, the speech was intended for Apple's shareholders, Apple had to dispel rumors and concerns and at the same time justifying the high cash reserves. In the context of this conversation, Tim Cook told in my eyes more than clearly against the current biggest competitor Samsung:

"When you look at displays, some people are focused on size. There's a few other things about the display that are important. Some people use displays, the color saturation is awful. The retina display is twice as bright as on OLED display. I only bring up these points to say there are many attributes to the display, and what Apple does is sweat every detail. We care about all of them and we want the best display, and I think we've got it. I'm not gonna comment about what we're gonna do in the future, but it's always broader than That which can be defined by a simple number "

In short, the competition brings nothing new, only larger displays. These are used by Samsung OLED displays deficient loud Tim Cook. Furchbare colors and low brightness in the eyes of Cook enough to keep pace with Apple. In fact, for the most part used by Samsung OLED displays are probably the most frequently discussed contrast to the competition. The colors are strong, and for some just too unnatural to perfect black levels come but deficits in brightness and white values. The upcoming HD display of the Samsung Galaxy S IV should bring some progress here. For me personally (and on this subject you can discuss long), the biggest drawback is the possibility of branding and poor visibility in direct sunlight - and I still want any waive AMOLED.
